E-Business Data Standards

Develop XML standards for orders, invoices, dispatches, and bill of laden so that all members of the computer community and the flat glass supply chain can be linked together with a minimum of computer development time. This way orders, billing, and transportation scheduling can be done cost effectively and with minimum time delays. Once FGLC members are aware of these advantages each member of the FGLC will place an emphasis on this task with their technical personnel.

E-Business Standard area is composed of two sub committees:

1. Technical Committee - The technical committee responsible for identifying XML structure for the key data files such as order, invoice and bill of laden. Lee Hinman is the lead on this committee.
   
   
2. Glass Users/Transportation Group - The Glass Users/Transportation group responsible for establishing requirements for the XML documents. Greg Eller is the lead on this committee.
